Overview: IBTCI is currently seeking an analyst for work under a monitoring and evaluation support services project funded by the United States Agency for International Development/Yemen (USAID/Yemen). The USAID/Yemen Monitoring and Evaluation Project II (YMEPII) is a multi-year project focusing on the provision of Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning, and Research services across multiple development sectors in Yemen. Candidates should possess a successful track record in conducting thorough and accurate research, and producing detailed written deliverables.
This is a short term-US based consultancy position, with an anticipated 45 day level of effort over a 3 month period of performance.
Essential Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:
The Analyst will provide overall research, analysis, and report writing functions for qualitative research products to inform USAID/Yemen decision-making and information needs. Specifically this will entail:
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in International Development, Political Science, or a related social science field required. Master’s Degree strongly preferred.
Supervisory Responsibility: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Working Environment: Work is performed in a typical corporate office environment.
Physical Requirements: This is largely a sedentary position that requires the ability to speak, hear, see, and lift small objects up to 20 lbs.
Travel: International travel required.
