  • Overview

    IBTCI is seeking multiple candidates to fill short-term positions to perform monitoring and evaluations to the United Nations World Food Program’s operation in Cote d’Ivoire. Positions will be based in-country. The purpose of this contract is to evaluate the design and implementation of school feeding programs executed by the World Food Program in Cote d’Ivoire.  This position is contingent upon award.


    • Collect data through a variety of methods including focus group discussions and key informant interviews.
    • Perform statistical analysis of data collected to be used to provide an evaluation of WFP’s school feeding program.
    • Draft evaluation reports of to be submitted to WFP via the home office.
    • Engage with relevant UN (e.g. WFP) and governmental entities (e.g. Ministry of Education and Ministry of Agriculture).
    • Travel between different sites to conduct evaluation.
    • Manage enumerators.


    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Knowledge of and experience with conducting focus group discussions and key informant interviews.
    • Ability to manage enumerators, collecting data, and conducting statistical analysis
    • Excellent writing skills.
    • Ability to work as a team player.


    Minimum Requirements:

    • At least 10 years of evaluation experience.
    • Extensive experience with qualitative methods, statistical analysis, and data collection analysis.
    • Experience monitoring & evaluating, designing, and/or implementing a school feeding program as well as experience in education.
    • Experience working with the World Food Program or similar UN agency related to food security, agriculture, or nutrition (i.e. FEWSNET, FFP, FAO).
    • Experience conducting focus group discussions and key informant interviews.
    • Experience working with or for the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Agriculture.
    • Oral and written proficiency in French required; proficiency in English preferred.


    Education:  Bachelor’s degree field related to International Development, Food Security, Nutrition, Emergency Management, Statistics, Education, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.


    Working Environment:  Work is typically performed in an office environment.


    Physical Requirements:  This is largely a sedentary position that requires the ability to speak, hear, see, and lift small objects up to 20 lbs.

    Supervisory Responsibility:  This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.


    Travel:  International travel required.
