  • Overview

    Overview: IBTCI is currently seeking a qualified Copy Editor for work under a monitoring and evaluation support services project funded by the United States Agency for International Development Tunisia and Libya Missions (USAID/Tunisia and USAID/Libya). The USAID/Tunisia and USAID/Libya Monitoring and Evaluation in Tunisia and Libya (METAL) is a multi-year project focusing on the provision of Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning services across multiple development sectors in both Tunisia and Libya.

     

    The consultant’s period of performance will be on or about December 29, 2017 – January 2, 2018. The consultant will have up to 3 days of LOE.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:  

    • Copy edit final evaluation report for a USAID project in Tunisia.
    • Review all text and correct typos, poor sentence structure, duplicate passages, and other mistakes not previously addressed by IBTCI quality control.
    • The report will be approximately 30 pages. All text, excluding annexes, will be reviewed and edited.

    Qualifications

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Proven professional experience in editing documents.
    • Ability to work under tight deadlines.
    • Previous experience editing documents for USG customers is a plus.
    • Computer literate, with full competency in Microsoft Office Suite.

     

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Minimum 5 years of editing experience.
    • Oral and written fluency in English required.

     

    Education:  Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications, or other relevant degree.

     

    Supervisory Responsibility:  This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

     

    Travel:  International travel not required.
