    Job Title: Organization and Logistics Assistant

    Overview: IBTCI is seeking an Organization and Logistics Assistant to assist the evaluation team in all administrative and office requirements.  The evaluation will take into accounting UNFPA’s capacity to respond to humanitarian crises and use of the population data in humanitarian preparedness and response.  The period of performance is expected to be between 12-20 months during 2018.  This position is contingent upon award.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:

    • Assist the team with report writing, preparation and formatting.
    • Undertake document reviews.
    • May conduct desk research and analyses.
    • Prepare and package research reports.
    • Any other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Some knowledge of humanitarian law and principles, and experience with using human rights and gender analysis in evaluations, preferred.
    • Good understanding of UNFPA mandate and processes.
    • Demonstrable regional expertise and knowledge of the regional issues, as relevant for the evaluation considered.
    • Good communication skills (written, spoken) in languages spoken in the region and countries covered, preferred.

     

    Minimum Requirements:

    • At least 5 years of experience as an office and logistics assistant.
    • Experience filing reports.
    • Strong organizational skills to support the evaluation team.
    • Demonstrable analytical and writing/drafting skills in English.
    • Oral and written fluency in English required.

     

    Education:  Bachelor’s degree preferred

    Working Environment: Work is typically performed in an office environment, with some time spent in the field.

    Supervisory Responsibility:  This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

     

    Physical Requirements:  This is largely a sedentary position that requires the ability to speak, hear, see, and lift small objects up to 20 lbs.

    Travel: Travel not required.
