    IBTCI is seeking an International Development Recruiter. The International Development Recruiter (IDR) position, is a three-month position with an option to extend. The consultant will work closely with IBTCI’s Business Development Team and three practices (Global Health; Crisis, Conflict and Governance; and Agriculture, Food Security and E3). This is a part time consultancy for 28 Hours per Week.


    Essential Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:  

    Using your recruiting, human resources, and business development skills, support IBTCI international recruiting efforts, but not limited to:

    • Conduct multiple recruitments for positions identified in requests for proposals in the international development arena. 
    • Assist IBTCI recruiters, as needed, on recruitments for existing projects staffing needs.
    • Undertake full life cycle recruiting including position description development (in conjunction with hiring managers) sourcing, advertising, screening, candidate tracking, shortlisting.
    • Prepare succinct CVs and bio-sketches and staffing tables for candidate presentation at the proposal or project level.
    • Edits/reworks CVs to highlight relevant skills and experience of specialists proposed on bids and for projects
    • Assist in updating the corporate recruitment tracker.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    • This position does not authorize/ require the consultant to directly communicate with IBTCI Client.
    • This position does not authorize/ require the consultant to have decision making authority on final work product.
    • While working on an open recruitment with IBTCI, the consultant shall not work on that same recruitment opportunity with any other organization.


    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Ability to prioritize and communicate clearly and professionally with internal clients and external candidates, both verbally and in writing
    • Excellent interpersonal and time management skills and ability to work effectively with diverse teams and handle multiple tasks simultaneously, often with tight deadlines
    • Must have a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
    • Experience working collaboratively, in a lead position, with other stakeholders.
    • Solid qualitative, quantitative, and analytical skills expected.
    • Experience in sub-Saharan Africa highly desirable.


    Minimum Requirements:

    • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience. 
    • Recruitment experience in international development, highly preferred.
    • USAID and State Department recruitment experience, highly preferred
    • Recruitment experience in one or more of the following areas: health, governance, humanitarian assistance, education, economic growth, climate change, food security, gender, knowledge management or capacity building), preferred.
    • Experience with e-recruitment systems or applicant tracking systems, preferred
    • Must be fluent in speaking and writing in English. 

    Education:  Bachelor's degree in International relations or Development or similar field. 

    Supervisory Responsibility:  This position does not have any responsibilities.


    Travel:  Travel not required.
